If fraudsters are so clever, how come they always blow the cash and never invest money they steal?
Sad story here of a employee who stole £168k from her employer. She used most of the money on a dream wedding and a jewel encrusted ipod cover.
As if to rub it in, she invited her employer to the wedding, at which he became suspicious as it was so lavish, beyond her visible earning potential.
It must be so annoying to victims of fraud, that fraudsters never actually invest the money into homes or cars so that some value that could be recovered. Blowing it all on the high life leaves nothing for the vicitims.
I guess if they were that smart a) they wouldn't do it in the first place and b) they wouldn't get caught.
