In terms of people who defraud others on a one to one basis, I was thinking how you would describe their "job"? And what I came up with it was to:

Find your buttons and push them!

Push them to achieve the desired emotional response and related behaviour.

I often see victims of fraud as being protrayed as lacking intelligence but really it's not to do with intellectual intelligence but rather emotional intelligence.

Every human has wants, needs and desires. The fraudster just needs to figure out which buttons will work for each potential victim!

Remember we all have buttons to push and times when our defences are low, no-one is immune!
